Anne Singel

Anne M.  Canestrale Singel, 82, of Monessen, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 7:50 pm at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp.  Born May 10, 1935 in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Libera Lombardo Canestrale.  A lifelong resident of Monessen, Mrs. Singel was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church, Monessen and was a retired presser for Magura’s and Brookvale clothing, Monessen.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by LeAnne & Anthony Boscan of Belle Vernon, Michael N. & Christine Singel of Monessen; five grandchildren who were the light of her life Mallory A. Boscan who was devoted to her care everyday & Fiancé Andy Goodman, Jonathan Boscan, Robert Boscan, Alexander J. Singel, Austin L. Singel; brother Joseph Canestrale of Monessen; two sisters Mary Bednar of Amherst, OH, Teresa Peters of Camp Hill, many  nieces, nephews and good friends Pati Amatangelo and Trudy Taylor.  She is preceded in death by her husband Norbert N.  Singel 10/31/2016; infant brother Matthew; two sisters Angeline Mathieu, Vincetta Bell and a brother Matthew Canestrale.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Joseph Bonafed officiating.  Interment will take place in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Monessen.

Anne's family would like to especially thank the doctors, nurses, assistants and the staff of Mon Valley Hospital for all of their care and concerns for her while she was a patient on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors.  The kindness will never be forgotten.
