Barbara A. (Williams) Mentzer

Barbara A. Williams Mentzer, 66, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Whitetail Springs Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, Castle Shannon.  Born May 19, 1954 in Newfoundland, Canada she was the daughter of Robert E. Davis and Eleanor A. Greaves Davis oof Florida.  A resident of North Belle Vernon for the past 31 years, Barbara was Lutheran by faith, a retired teacher with the Private Industry Council (PIC) and the Belle Vernon Area School District int he gifted program at the elementary schools, served as the advisor with the schools Leo Club and the Rostraver Middle school paper.

She is survived by her husband Brian Mentzer to whom she was married 31 years; tow sons and daughter in law Nathaniel DeLattre of Greensburg, Beaux 'Devon' & Holly DeLattre of McDonald; two brothers & sisters in law John & Peggy Williams of Monroeville, Paul & Pam Williams of Dunnellon, FL; five grandchildren Arin DeLattre, Brynn DeLattre, Shyla DeLattre, Declan DeLattre, Ashlynn DeLattre; niece Michelle Angers and a nephew Jonathan Williams.  She is preceded in death by her biological Father John Williams Jr.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Jennifer McCurry of First Lutheran Church, Pittsburgh officiating.
