Dale R. McQuillis

Dale R. McQuillis, 87, of Newell, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at his home. Born September 7, 1937 in Monongahela, PA he was the son of the late Louis and Ruth Lowe McQuillis. A resident of Newell for the past 36 years, Mr. McQuillis was retired welder from Whg-Pgh Steel Monessen and Allenport Plants, was a model train enthusiast and an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan. Dale enjoyed working in his garden and traveling with his wife to Lancaster, PA. He could always be seen with his coffee and crossword visiting his wife at the entrance of Belle Vernon Cemetery.

He is survived by daughter & son in law Tina & Robert Staley, three sons & daughters in law Dale & Dorothy McQuillis, Richard & Kathy McQuillis, Timothy & Jean McQuillis; seven grandchildren Bobby Staley, Dale & Alyssa A. McQuillis, Kellie & Derrick Breegle, Timothy & Jessica McQuillis, Joshua McQuillis, Shayne McQuillis, Ian McQuillis; nine great grandchildren Allen McQuillis, Albert McQuillis, Mason McQuillis, Donnie Kelley, Lilly McQuillis, Leo Breegle, Riley McQuillis, Noah Breegle and Samantha McQuillis; brother and sister in law Bill & Josephine McQuillis; two sisters Carol Spina, Joanne Stevens and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Edith M. Katchmark McQuillis of 60 years who he missed terribly; two brothers Louis McQuillis and James McQuillis

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 10:00 AM with the Pastor Jeff Marton of HOPE Center Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
