Daryl D. Reed

Daryl D. Reed, 81, of Belle Vernon, Lynnwood, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp.  Born June 30, 1939 in N. Charleroi, he was the son of the late Paul Reed Sr. and Zolla Clingerman Reed.  A resident of Lynnwood for the past 68 years, Mr. Reed was a member of the First Christian Church of Monessen, was a retired foreman from US Steel Irvin Works and enjoyed spending time in the mountains.

He is survived by a son Ryan D. Reed of Lynnwood; three daughters Dawna Shipp of Virginia, Lisa D. Reed & Partner Craig Duzyk of Belle Vernon, Darla L. Reed & Partner Scott Zemba of Belle Vernon and a grandson D.J. Naylor.  He is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis L. Danko Reed (12/11/1991); two step brothers Donald Reed and Paul Reed Jr. and a step sister Betty McCleary.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-7:30 pm followed by funeral services at 7:30 PM with the Rev. Melissa Snyder of Perryopolis First Christian Church officiating in the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Interment will take place on Thursday in Fairview Cemetery, Artemas PA.  Masks must be worn and social distancing must still be maintained.
