Harry Anthony, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old. Born on November 13, 1935, in Monessen, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna Dahma Anthony. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Harry was a member of the former St. Michael's Syrian Orthodox Church, in Monessen. Harry served the Mon Valley for over 50 years as a barber and owner of the Gentry Barber Salon, in Charleroi, which he opened in 1970. Harry showed great enthusiasm for his work, loved the personal nature of his job, and his relationships with his customers. He enjoyed watching many of his customers grow up in his barber's chair. After retiring at the age of 77, he continued offering haircuts to family and friends.

Harry served in the US Army, enjoyed hunting and nature, cars, history, and working in his garden. He was an avid Pittsburgh pirates fan. Most of all, Harry loved his family more than anything. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. He often said, "The smartest thing I ever did was marry my wife Lenora". Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Lenora Sabolek Anthony, son Harry Michael Anthony and partner Courtney Oliver of Pittsburgh, daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Brian Croftcheck of Rostraver, grandchildren Katherine Rose Anthony, Gabriel Anthony, Donny Croftcheck, and Ava Croftcheck. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Albert and Judie Anthony of Pittsburgh, and sister and brother in law Jane and Robert Buckman of Virginia. He is preceded in death by his sister Loretta Dayich, and brother Phillip Anthony.

Private visitation and funeral services were held on Friday with Pastor Jeff Marton of HOPE Center Church, officiating at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Entombment took place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
