Helen Thompson Zeli, 66, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, in her home.She was born October 16, 1947, in Brownsville, a daughter of Maxine Dale Thompson of Grindstone and the late George E. Thompson.Mrs. Zeli was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Belle Vernon.She was a retired elementary school teacher from Belle Vernon Area School District.Surviving are her husband, Vincent Zeli, to whom she was married 45 years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Amie Zeli of Canonsburg and Sam and Melissa Zeli of Youngwood; five grandchildren, Katie Zeli, Lance C. Zeli, Jaxon Zeli, Luke Zeli and Ethan Zeli; a brother and sister-in-law, George E. "Spanky" and Lorrain Thompson Jr. of Waldorf, Md.; a sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Blaine Sphar of Grindstone; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, with the Rev. Suzanne Z. Currie, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
