JoAnn Sikorski

May 22, 1929 — September 29, 2016

We celebrate the life, but mourn the death of our devoted wife and mother JoAnn Ancarana Sikorski, 87, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp.  Born May 22, 1929 in Chicora, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Idella Leech Ancarana.   A resident of Belle Vernon and Rostraver Twp. for the past 45 years having previously resided in Clairton/Wilson, Mrs. Sikorski was a member of Church Of St. Anne, Rostraver Twp.  She was retired from the clerical department from the former Montgomery Wards, Charleroi.  JoAnn was a graduate of Clairton High School Class of 1946, attended Indiana University of PA, was an ardent animal lover having rescued many stray animals.  She also loved to read, garden and cook.

She also had many good neighbors, delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul society.  JoAnn was the last surviving member of her immediate family and will be joyfully welcomed by all her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Joseph Sikorski; two sons and daughter in law Vincent Paul Goslicky Jr. of Belle Vernon, Wade Bernard & Vivian Goslicky of Jefferson Boro; two grandchildren Jill Marie Goslicky Krebes and husband Aaron of Los Angeles, Michael Wade Goslicky and wife Terria of Jefferson Borough; a great grandson Gavin Wade Goslicky, devoted niece  Patti Ann Savage of Austin, Texas; nephews Kenneth Hileman & wife Linda of Austin, Texas, Pastor Larry Hileman of Nashua, New Hampshire and Raymond Fedor of McMurray.  She is preceded in death by her beloved twin sister Joyce Collins (2002), much beloved son Paul R. Sikorski in 1987 at the age of 26, older sister Taugen Fedor (2001), brothers Wade B. Ancarana, Joseph B. Ancarana and a nephew Richard Fedor.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10 am at the Church of St. Anne with the Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti Pastor as celebrant.  The Family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made in memory of JoAnn Sikorski to Rostraver/West Newton Ambulance Service or any local Humane Society.
