John M. Barron, 93, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at Excela Health, Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born April 17, 1930 in Monessen, PA he was the son of the late John and Anna Zeets Barron. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 67 years, Mr. Barron was a member of Seven Dolars RC Church, Yukon, was a retired mason from US Steel and LTV Steel, member of Monessen VFW and enjoyed his flower garden and building. John was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he served in the US Army for over 20 years.
He is survived by his brother Jerry J. Barron of Normalville, numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia J. Gogol Barron (9/25/2022); three brothers Edward Barron, Robert Barron, Ronald Barron; four sisters Anna Badzik, Catherine Kachursky, Betty Marie Barron and Patricia Barron.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6 PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating. Visitation will continue after the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Cemetery Of The Alleghenies on Tuesday September 5th at 12:30 PM.
