Joshua C. Hutsenpiller, 34, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his home bravely fighting a lifetime struggle with muscular dystrophy. Born October 5, 1987 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of Gregory Toia of Belle Vernon and Susan Hutsenpiller Vlasak of Belle Vernon. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon he was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon and was a graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School class of 2007 with honors. Joshua enjoyed his computers and online gaming, was an avid supporter of the human society, enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music from a local band Corn. Joshua was never one to complain about his condition and was always concerned about everyone else.
He is survived by his brother Gregory Toia of Belle Vernon to whom he loved very much and were like two peas in a pod, is fur babies Jackson & Belle and his long-time caregiver and nurse Daniel Sinsely. He is preceded in death by his infant brother Christopher Thomas Toia, maternal grandparents Bert & Rose Hutsenpiller, paternal grandparents Alexander & Maryann Toia.
Visitation will be held at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church on day from 9-10 am followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM with the Very Rev. Stephan Gresh of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will take place in Olive Branch Cemetery.
