Kathleen B. (Kapty) Dacko

Kathleen B. Kapty Dacko, 73, of Perryopolis, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at her home.  Born April 30, 1948 in Monessen, PA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Barch Kapty.

A life-long resident of the Mon Valley, she previously lived in Monessen and Belle Vernon. After retiring from PNC Bank in 2012, she worked at the Keystone Bakery as well as Gene & Boots Candies.  Kathy was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Perryopolis & enjoyed volunteering at numerous parish activities. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dr. Christopher A. Dacko of Pittsburgh & Michael J. Dacko & wife Katie of Oakmont.  She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Kapty, nephew Robert Kapty & wife Sue Ellen, niece Laura Farmer, a great niece, three great nephews, and several cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brother Robert W. Kapty.

Kathy’s proudest accomplishments were her sons.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her two children.

Visitation will be held Friday from 9-10:30 AM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. John The Baptist RC Church with the Rev. Rodolfo Mejia as celebrant.  Private family interment will take place in St. Hyacynth Cemetery.
