Larry E. Carr

Larry E. Carr, 78, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at his home with his family. Born August 23, 1946 in Monongahela, PA he was the son of the late Louis and Alice Gregory Carr. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 55 years, Mr. Carr was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and was retired from US Postal Service Monongahela Post Office with 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the US Army, member of the Naomi Athletic Club, enjoyed camping at Mountain Pines, Champion PA, playing Texas Hold’em, his fantasy football league and most of all spending time with family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Marsha Sabolek Carrto whom he was married 55 years; two sons & daughter in law Larry T. Carr of Belle Vernon, Brian & Karen Carr of Belle Vernon; daughter & son in law Kelly & Bob Capanna of Murrysville three grandchildren Landon Carr, Bobby Capanna, Kacie Capanna three brothers & sisters in law George & Mimi Carr of NJ, Jim & Anette Carr of Monongahela, Danny & Joanne Carr of AZ; Sister in law Barbara Barch, niece Kimberly & Tim Ayersman; nephew Wally & Sheri Barch. He is preceded in death by two brothers Charles Carr, Louis Carr Jr.; three sisters Mina Wilhelm, Rochelle Dzardo, Mernie Radabaugh; brother in law Wally Barch and a granddaughter Elizabeth Layne Capanna.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Msgr. James Gaston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
