Lawrence ‘Larry’ E. Wilson, 82, of Perryopolis, Perry Twp., passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Harmarville, Pittsburgh. Born October 14, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant, PA he was the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Colland Wilson. A lifelong resident of the Perryopolis area, Mr. Wilson was a member of St. John The Baptist RC Church and was a proud veteran during the Vietnam War, serving in Japan with the Air Force. After serving his time in the Air Force, Larry went on to work for White Trucks of Ohio, Westinghouse in the Nuclear Division, then retired from PENN DOT as a bridge designer.  After his retirement, he was a licensed realtor for five years. He worked with contractors and individuals designing homes, then worked part time at Del Suppa Pools till his full retirement.  He had hard working ethics to provide for his family. Larry was a lifetime Lodge member of Perry Sokols and Perryopolis Sons & Daughters of Italy. He loved to dance with his wife, Dorothy, cruising and walking together and enjoyed sports, especially coaching football to many children in the Perryopolis and Belle Vernon Area. 

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Lafko Wilson to whom he would have celebrated 62 years of marriage in May, three daughters & sons in law Natalie & Stephen Manack of Belle Vernon, Sherry & Larry Jackson of Perryopolis, Cindy & Rob Frazier of Independence, OH, son & daughter in law Larry & Kristin Wilson of Irwin, two brothers & sisters in law Robert & Andrea Wilson of Perryopolis, Jack & Linda Wilson of Belle Vernon, six grandchildren Steven & Emily Manack, Seth & Courtney Manack, Gina & Nate Pelco, Cooper Wilson, Camden Wilson, Jillian Frazier, two great granddaughters Lila Manack and Josephine Pelco. He is preceded in death by his brother Dan Wilson. 

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:30 AM at St. John The Baptist RC Church with the Rev. Rodolfo Mejia as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Members of St. John the Baptist Parish will gather on Thursday at 3 PM in the funeral home to pray the Rosary.
