Lois A. (McColligan) Barger, 84, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at 4:15 a.m. at Excela Health, Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born July 7, 1931, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Gertrude McCauley McColligan. A resident of North Huntingdon for the past 50 years, Mrs. Barger was Catholic by faith and was a homemaker. Her family and grandchildren meant everything to her. Lois also enjoyed traveling in the family motor home, camping and tailgating at Penn State. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey L. and Joann Barger, of State College, Timothy R. and Kelly Barger, of North Huntingdon Township; two grandchildren Jeffrey R. Barger and wife, Kirsten, and Jennifer M. Barger; and two twin great-grandchildren, Connor and Brayden Barger. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Barger, Nov. 16, 2011; and a sister, Joan Kujas.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, Pastor of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will take place in West Newton Cemetery.
