Michael Capco, 90, of Monessen, formerly of Gillespie, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his home. Born November 24, 1930 in Monessen, PA he was the son of the late George and Sofia Sedor Capco. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, Mr. Capco was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister for the Homebound. Michael was a retired time keeper from Whg-Pgh Steel, was a member of Monessen Knights of Columbus, Monessen Elks Lodge 773, Naomi Club, Gillespie Slovak Club, was a founding member and past treasurer for St. Vincent DePaul Society in Monessen, and served as a board member and loan officer at Valley 1st Community Federal Credit Union.
He is survived by his significant other Kathleen Hutchison; 3 children Michael G. & Constance Capco of Largo, FL, Carol & Anthony Cintron of Belle Vernon, Thomas & Laura Capco of Rostraver Twp.; son in law Ronald Raymond of North Belle Vernon; six grandchildren Ashley (Kevin) Coup, Dustin Capco, Jason Capco, Zachary Capco, Mackenzie Capco, Aubrey Cintron and two great grandchildren Owen & Theo Coup. He is preceded in death by his wife Helen J. Stepp Capco, daughter Susan M. Raymond; brother George Capco and three sisters Sue Shuma, Ann Johnson and Mary Silvania.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
