Nellie M. Schwartz

Nellie M. Schwartz, 75, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Born June 5, 1949 in Star Junction, PA she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Roxie Hayden Schwartz. A resident of the Belle Vernon Area for the past 20 years, Miss Schwartz was a member of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church. Nellie was retired from Wal Mart, Belle Vernon, where she worked as a Cashier, was a member of Center on the Hill, enjoyed photography and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing bingo at Washington Twp. Fire Dept. for the past 48 years and most of all loved her pet cats.

She is survived by sister Jean Salko of Newell, sister in law Diane Schwartz of Morrhead, MN, her cat Rosie, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Schwartz.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 10:00 AM with the Pastor Joshua Scully of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
