Rev. Frank A. Funair

Rev. Frank A. Funair 5th, 54, of Penn Hills, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born May 18, 1962 in Johnsonburg, PA he was the son of the late Patrick Funair and Judy Carlson of Missouri. A resident of Penn Hills for the past 11 years, Frank was the Pastor of the World Outreach Church, Penn Hills. He was a graduate of Domata School of Missions and Rhema Bible Training School of Tulsa OK. He was also a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a degree in Secondary Education-English. Frank started at Penn Hills School District in January of 2004 and was also a district wrestling champion and wrestling coach at Penn Hills School District.
He is survived by his wife Kerry Kornosky Funair to whom he was married 30 years; siblings Patricia Roberts, Patrick Funari, Mark Funair, Steven Funair and a brother in law Kurt Kornosky. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his foster son Richard Collins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 01:00 PM with the Rev. Wayne R. Boring of First Christian Church of Fayette City officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
