Stephen John ‘Stush’ Verin, 59, of North Belle Vernon, died Monday, March 12, 2018 at Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon. Born April 20, 1958 in N. Charleroi, he was the son of the late Steve Verin and Dorothy Chalfant Verin who survives and resides in Monessen. A resident of North Belle Vernon over 20 years, Mr. Verin was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church, Belle Vernon and was a retired construction foreman from Frank Irey Jr. and Pompei & Sons Inc. Stephen was a very family-oriented man who loved family gatherings especially the holidays and family time at the pool in the summer. He loved his John Deere tractor, was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan, enjoyed playing Saturday night poker games with the family and his best friend and pet Lucky.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife and the love of his life Joann Komlos Verin to whom he was married 34 years; daughter & son in law Nicole & Brad Frazee of Adah; son Tyler S. Verin at home; sister & brother in law Cissy & Dave Stanisz of Monessen; brother in law & sister in law Mike & Nancy Komlos; sister in law Kathy Komlos Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a special aunt Wanda Strahosky. He is preceded in death by a sister Darlene Verin Dolan and a brother in law Tom Smith.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Alan Olson of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
