Vilma S. Ambrose

Vilma ‘Sandy’ Sands Ambrose, 89, of Belle Vernon Washington Twp., passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at Hallsworth House, Monessen. Born March 9, 1935 in Fairhope, PA she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Stella Daniels Sands. A lifelong resident of Naomi and Belle Vernon, Mrs. Ambrose was Lutheran by faith, enjoyed cooking, traveling with her family, and shopping. Sandy most of all was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by son Raymond L. Ambrose of Belle Vernon, two daughters & sons in law Darla & Darryl Sickles of Fairhope, Mary & Paul Bednarczyk of Fayette City, six grandchildren Raymond P. (Dean Farine) Ambrose, Samuel M. (Elizabeth) Ambrose, Matthew (Corin) Sickels, Joshua Sickels, Daniel Bednarczyk, Erica (Austin) Morton, and great grandchild Lily Sickels. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond S. Ambrose (4/26/2021), daughter in law Kathleen Ambrose, two sisters Shirley Conte, Dorothy Sands. 

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10-11:30 AM followed by funeral services at 11:30 AM with Elder James Abbott officiating at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
